O chá é rico em polifenóis antioxidantes que protegem nossas células dos radicais livres, que previnem o câncer e o envelhecimento precoce. Alguns ajudam a emagrecer. Os chás contêm também betacaroteno, vitaminas B1, B2, B6, C, ácido fólico, magnésio e potássio.
“A ingestão de chá é responsável pela redução do risco de doenças coronárias, diminuição dos níveis de colesterol, preservação da densidade óssea, diminuição da fadiga, redução do peso, proteção do organismo e facilidade de digestão”, diz a nutricionista Luana Stoduto, do site Bem Leve. Os tipos de chá são os mais variados e para os mais fins. Os chás puros, sem açúcar, são isentos de calorias. Já os chás branco e de alecrim têm a propriedade de reduzir a absorção de gorduras, ajudando a perder peso. No combate à ansiedade, chás como camomila, capim limão, erva cidreira e erva doce são grandes aliados. O chá de erva cidreira ainda reduz a compulsão por comida. Já o de cravo e canela reduz a vontade de comer doce.
Para hidratar, a pedida é o chá verde que também é antioxidante, aumenta a energia e ajuda a queimar gordura. Mas, atenção, chás preto, mate e verde não devem ser consumidos após as grandes refeições (almoço e jantar), pois têm um polifenol (tanino), que reduz a absorção de ferro.
“O ideal é o consumo de chás naturais, já que assim evitamos os conservantes e os outros produtos químicos usados para realçar o sabor. Se for consumir as opções de chás industrializados, dê preferência aos chás de caixinha que tenham certificado orgânico”, explica Luana.
Alguns cuidados devem ser tomados na hora de preparar a bebida. As folhas não podem ficar muito tempo dentro da água quente. Para evitar o sabor amargo, devem permanecer na água por, no máximo, cinco minutos.
