Durante os últimos seis meses, a cada três dias, uma travesti deu entrada no único ambulatório do País especializado no atendimento deste público, exibindo as cruéis marcas causadas pela aplicação do silicone industrial. A prática, clandestina, também está se disseminando entre mulheres.
Usada para turbinar os seios e nádegas com baixíssimo custo, o procedimento vem vitimando pacientes por todo Brasil com reações alérgicas, deformações severas no corpo e dificuldades para andar, além de mortes por infecção generalizada.
A diferença entre o silicone industrial e as próteses tradicionais é o produto utilizado e também a forma de aplicação. Enquanto as cirurgias plásticas normais são realizadas em clínicas aprovadas pela vigilância sanitária com custo mínimo de R$ 2 mil (apenas a prótese), a aplicação irregular é feita por pessoas sem o menor conhecimento de medicina, chamadas de ‘bombadeiras’, em unidades ‘fundo de quintal’. O material utilizado nestes casos são os silicones líquidos, R$ 20 o vidro, fabricados inicialmente para limpar carros por exemplo. São injetados por uma seringa em condições precárias de higiene.
Na ausência de estatísticas oficiais sobre as seqüelas do silicone industrial – injetado na face, nas nádegas e nos seios – os casos que chegam aos consultórios públicos e privados evidenciam o alto preço da vaidade pago ou por quem, a qualquer custo, quer formas femininas ou por mulheres que insistem em seguir padrões estéticos irreais.
De agosto a janeiro, só no Ambulatório de Saúde Integral para Travestis e Transexuais do Centro de Referência e Treinamento DST/Aids de São Paulo, foram 73 pacientes acolhidos na tentativa de tratar os males do silicone industrial. Em Minas Gerais, o cirurgião plástico Marilho Dornellas, conta que só na última semana atendeu três mulheres no hospital municipal de Juiz de Fora e em sua clínica particular para tratar o mesmo problema, com a necessidade de cirurgias reparadoras em série.
‘A aplicação de silicone industrial é antiga, desde a década de 70, e começou sendo usada por travestis’, afirma Dornellas. ‘Recentemente, o que tivemos de novidade no cenário é a crescente adesão de mulheres ao procedimento, atraídas pelo baixo custo dos implantes’, completa o médico. Agora, conta ele, ‘a fatura’ da cirurgia plástica clandestina está sendo cobrada. ‘As seqüelas chegam aos montes, com a missão de servir de exemplo para que a nova geração rejeite o procedimento que usa silicone industrial’, alerta o especialista.
Espelho cruel
Os casos que chegam assiduamente ao Ambulatório para Travestis de São Paulo servem de cenário das consequências. A psicóloga da unidade, Judit Lia Busanello, conta que a maior parte exibe pés e pernas deformadas, já que o silicone ilegal aplicado nas nádegas desce para os membros inferiores. Existem também os casos de silicones aplicados nos seios que descem para a barriga, deixando evidências que não podem ser disfarçadas.
‘Os danos físicos são devastadores, com muita dor, mas o impacto psicológico não pode ser descartado. São pacientes que vão atrás do sonho da beleza e vivem um pesadelo.’
Os cirurgiões plásticos afirmam que nem sempre é possível reverter os danos causados pelo silicone industrial, já que as cavidades no corpo necessárias para a retirada do produto químico pode ser fatais.
Os casos de aplicação noticiados pela mídia de 2005 para cá – em São Paulo, na Bahia, em Minas e no Rio Grande do Sul – em sua maioria retratam mortes instantâneas de pacientes, já que o silicone também pode entrar na corrente sanguínea e provocar septicemia (infecção generalizada).
Padrão estético
A perigosa onda do silicone industrial surgiu em conseqüência da moda das próteses, que caiu no gosto dos brasileiros. Segundo o último relatório da Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica (SBPC), o número de cirurgias estéticas das mamas ultrapassou a quantidade de lipoaspirações realizadas no País, até então a recordistas de procedimentos.
De um total de 629 mil cirurgias plásticas feitas em 2008, 151 mil foram de mama e outros 91 mil de lipo. Quatro anos antes, as lipoaspirações somavam 198.137 e as cirurgias de mama 117.759. Na época em que o estudo foi divulgado pela Sociedade, médicos afirmaram que um dos possíveis motivos para as alterações na preferência é a mudança do padrão estético, mais ‘americanizado’, com seios bem fartos.
