1- LETRA LEGÍVEL
A receita e o atestado médico têm de ser legíveis e devem ter a identificação do médico
2-DIREITO DE ESCOLHA
O médico deve apresentar todas as possibilidades terapêuticas – cientificamente reconhecidas – e aceitar a escolha do paciente
3-CONSENTIMENTO ESCLARECIDO
O paciente precisa dar o consentimento a qualquer procedimento a ser realizado, salvo em caso de risco iminente de morte
4-ABANDONO DE PACIENTE
O médico não pode abandonar seu paciente
5-PACIENTES SEM PERSPECTIVA DE CURA
O médico deve evitar procedimentos desnecessários nesses pacientes. Em caso de doenças incuráveis, deve oferecer todos os cuidados paliativos disponíveis, levando sempre em conta a opção do paciente
6-PRONTUÁRIO MÉDICO
O paciente tem direito a receber a cópia do prontuário médico
7-SEGUNDA OPINIÃO
O paciente tem direito a uma segunda opinião e a ser encaminhado a outro médico
8-ANÚNCIOS PROFISSIONAIS
É obrigatório incluir o número do CRM em anúncios dessa natureza
9-PARTICIPAÇÃO EM PROPAGANDA
O médico não pode participar de propaganda
10-RECEITA SEM EXAME
O médico não pode receitar sem ver o paciente, seja por meio de veículo de comunicação ou internet

O médico não pode ter relação com o comércio e a farmácia
12-SIGILO MÉDICO
O sigilo médico deve ser preservado, mesmo após a morte do paciente
