Um grande concerto com vários artistas internacionais, como Shakira, Alicia Keys, Juanes e Black Eyed Peas será celebrado nesta quinta-feira, a partir das 15h (de Brasília), no estádio Orlando, em Soweto, na véspera da rodada de abertura da Copa do Mundo da África do Sul.
Principal atração, a colombiana Shakira será a última a se apresentar com a execeução de três músicas, entre ela “Waka Waka – Time for Africa” (A hora da África), tema do Mundial, com o grupo pop sul-africano Freshlyground. É aguardado um público de 36 mil pessoas na festa. Os ingressos, que custavam até 1400 rands (R$ 322), esgotaram-se rapidamente.
Além dos movimentos sensuais que habitualmente faz em seus shows, Shakira prometeu também uma coreografia tipicamente africana. O também colombiano Juanes e os americanos Alicia Keys e John Legend farão parte da festa, junto com estrelas africanas de renome internacional, tais como Angélique Kidjo, Amadou e Mariam e Gospel Choir. Vários jogadores também participarão do evento, mas os organizadores preferiram manter seus nomes em sigilo.
- Este concerto não só é um tributo ao início da Copa do Mundo, também é um tributo à música africana – explicou Kevin Wall, ao apresentar os últimos detalhes do show, que contará com ainda com a atuação de Alicia Keys, K’Naan e Angelique Kidjo.
- A cerimônia de abertura apresentará uma grande escalação de gigantes da música e da indústria do entretenimento sul-africanos e de todo o continente africano, mostrando a uma audiência global de milhões de pessoas o talento, criatividade, tecnologia e espírito de boas vindas da África – disse em comunicado Danny Jordaan, diretor-executivo do LOC.
